Breathe No More

Description

Named after one of my favorite songs by Evanescence, "Breathe No More."

I've been looking in the mirror for so long
That I've come to believe my soul's on the other side
Shards of me
To sharp to put back together
To small to matter
Yet big enough to cut me into so many little pieces
If I try to touch her
And I bleed, I bleed
And I breathe, I breathe no more

Take a breath and I try to draw from my spirit's well
Yet again, you refuse to drink like a stubborn child
Lie to me
Convince me that I've been sick forever
And all of this will make sense when I get better
But I know the difference
Between my self and my reflection
I just can't help but to wonder
Which of us do you love?
And I bleed, I bleed
And I breathe, I breathe no
Bleed, I bleed
And I breathe, I breathe
I breathe, I breathe no more...

Painted with watercolors. First time doing something of this caliber. It was an interesting experiment. Looks better on paper. Actually, looks duller and yellower on the watercolor paper, but I made it darker on my computer.

Ignore the hair. As for the broken glass part, I actually know exactly how to make it better and if I ever get a white ink pen or whatever they are called, then I know exactly how to fix the mirror and make it look 3D. In the meantime, I couldn't do it w/ my watercolors, sorry. Not that skilled yet...

If you can provide constructive criticism, that would be wonderful. I'm always looking to improve, so if you're a watercolor artist, I'd be happy to listen to your advice. Please note, if you're not well-versed in watercolor, please don't criticize. It's not nice and quite obnoxious, really. I know where my faults are. What I'm looking for are the solutions to those problems. Thank you.
